Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Specialist PRN to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing exceptional service to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Cite indications, contraindications, risks, and benefits for venoarterial and venovenous ECMO support.
  • Prepare and operate clinical equipment and circuitry per ECMO policies/procedures.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree.
