Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dev Support Specialist to join our team at Software Technology Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our development team, ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the development team on application development, debugging, and testing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality, architecture, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and industry developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our applications and systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application development, DevOps, or technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, coding best practices, and debugging procedures.
  • Experience with SQL server, Oracle databases, and .NET languages.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with public safety applications, law enforcement, and records management.
  • Knowledge of Web design using Google Sites.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • May require travel to locations throughout the Denver metro area.

Security Clearance:

Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license and undergo a pre-employment background check.

Training and Development:

Must complete information security training, including review and acknowledgement of the Acceptable Use of State Data and IT Resource Policy (AUP), within 30 days of contract start date and annually thereafter.
