Key Responsibilities:
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while managing parking transactions. Your duties will include:

  • Arriving at work punctually and in proper uniform.
  • Counting the cash drawer at the start of your shift to confirm the initial balance.
  • Handling cash and validations securely.
  • Issuing receipts or tickets for each transaction.
  • Calculating charges based on parking tickets presented by customers.
  • Operating the cash register to process transactions accurately.
  • Providing pricing information for parking services.
  • Assisting customers with directions within the city.
  • Completing lost ticket documentation when necessary.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and complaints, with support from a supervisor when needed.
  • Answering phone calls courteously and promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean work environment and surrounding area.
  • Conducting regular inventory checks of necessary supplies.
  • Reconciling daily transactions with cash on hand.
  • Documenting transaction details for shift reports.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Less than a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
  • License: A valid state-issued driver's license is required.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic and the ability to make change.
  • Language Skills: Capability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions and resolve standard problems.
  • Other Skills: Competence in using timekeeping devices and handling transactions with a pleasant demeanor.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular sitting, using hands for tasks, and occasional walking. Vision capabilities include close vision.
