Position Summary: The Cashier plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service by processing payments for parking services and managing traffic flow at the entry and exit points.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure punctuality and adherence to uniform standards on scheduled workdays.
  • Verify the initial cash balance at the start of each shift.
  • Safeguard cash transactions and manage cash flow securely.
  • Issue receipts or tickets for every transaction and provide change as necessary.
  • Calculate amounts due based on ticket information and process payments accurately.
  • Utilize the cash register to display transaction totals clearly.
  • Provide pricing information for parking services and assist customers with directions.
  • Complete necessary documentation for lost tickets.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous phone demeanor.
  • Keep the cashier booth and surrounding area clean and organized.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of supplies and work aids.
  • Reconcile shift transactions with cash on hand at the end of the shift.
  • Document transactions and prepare shift reports accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Requirements: Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively.

Education and Experience: Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Availability: Shift requirements may vary based on hiring needs, including potential availability for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends.

Licensing: A valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic and the ability to make change accurately.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.

Reasoning Skills: Capability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and resolve standard problems.

Additional Skills: Competence in using standard timekeeping and transaction processing tools, maintaining a professional demeanor in customer interactions.

Physical Requirements: The role involves sitting, using hands for tasks, and may require walking. Close vision is necessary for performing job duties.
