Job Title: Associate Director, Strategic Communications

FGS Global, a leading strategic communications consulting firm, is seeking a seasoned communications professional to join its Strategic Communications practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean energy and/or associated industries and a proven track record of delivering effective communications strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans to support clients in the clean energy and sustainability sectors.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and media contacts.
  • Craft compelling messaging and collateral materials that simplify complex policy and regulatory issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving policy, regulatory, and political issues impacting clients' sectors.
  • Develop and execute media outreach strategies, pitching stories to local and national news outlets.
  • Cultivate relationships with key media contacts and outlets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-9 years of relevant experience.
  • Specific familiarity with clean energy and/or associated industries, with a strong understanding of policy and regulatory issues.
  • Proven ability to project manage and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise press materials under tight deadlines.
  • Superior research and editing skills.
  • Ability to identify and cultivate key media contacts and outlets.
