Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Director to join our team at CFP Board. As a key member of our marketing and communications department, you will be responsible for developing and delivering communications to stakeholders that promote our mission and strategic priorities.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to engage stakeholders and promote CFP Board's mission and priorities.
  • Write and edit content for various channels, including website, newsletter, presentation, and email.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify and develop written communications that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Maintain and enforce CFP Board's messaging hierarchy, branding, and content and style guidelines.
  • Lead the editorial review process and provide editing and writing services for departments across the organization.
  • Manage the delivery of the monthly CFP Board Report email newsletter.
  • Write and edit content for CFP Board's websites and social media channels.
  • Ensure all website content is maintained and optimized for search and usability.
  • Support the development and execution of stakeholder surveys and award applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, English, or public relations, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of seven years of strategic communications experience.
  • Superb writing skills and excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing presentations and graphic design skills.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ease with relevant technology, CRM, and CMS systems.
  • Experience in editorial review and quality control of written and online communications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer

CFP Board offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $130,000, plus incentive compensation for meeting individual goals. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
