With a workforce exceeding 900 skilled professionals, we self-perform 80% of our groundwork, allowing us greater oversight and efficiency compared to competitors who rely heavily on subcontracting.

We are currently seeking a CAD Technician to enhance our Estimating Department in South Charlotte, NC.

This role encompasses various responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with clients and design/construction teams to clarify details for design-build initiatives.
  • Developing models and calculating quantities for earthwork and underground utilities.
  • Updating existing projects using new surface data derived from drone technology.
  • Integrating Geotechnical data into earthwork calculations and files.
  • Transferring CAD data into specialized earthwork software.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD software platforms such as Blue Beam Revu, Excel, and Agtek is advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective time management and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
