Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts research and prepares initial reports and feasibility studies, with the potential to present findings.
- Utilizes CAD for preliminary layouts, modeling, and design tasks.
- Executes detailed design calculations.
- Assists in project design and reviews, preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs.
- Organizes project assignments and supervises the work of engineers-in-training and technicians.
- Coordinates construction observation and manages project administration.
- Performs thorough construction observation and documentation as required.
- Mentors and develops both professional and technical staff.
- Maintains and enhances skills through ongoing education to fulfill state licensure requirements.
- Supports business development initiatives, including RFPs, presentations, and community engagement, while fostering relationships with regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience is required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with technical software such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and WaterCAD is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of site-related design, codes, and construction practices is required.
- Experience in land/site development is necessary.
- Ability to coordinate the technical skills of others effectively.
- Capable of applying civil engineering principles to solve site design challenges.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
