This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing labor studies and ensuring project timelines are accurately estimated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit accurate bids for substation projects by analyzing project requirements and developing comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Develop and manage contracts in accordance with project requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Conduct detailed labor studies to determine project timelines, including resource allocation and scheduling.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions, including V-lookups and Pivot tables, to analyze data and support project estimations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and provide flexible solutions to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Licensing:
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in substation estimating.
    • Proficient in bid preparation and contract creation with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform advanced functions such as V-lookups, Pivot tables, and more.
    • Experience conducting labor studies to assess project timelines.
Work Hours:
  • Candidates must be open to working overtime as required by project demands.
Relocation & Travel:
  • While relocation is not always required, candidates should be open to the possibility, depending on project needs.
