About the Role

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team in Charlotte. As a key member of our infrastructure solutions team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects that improve the quality of life for our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Perform CAD preliminary layout, modeling, and design, and conduct detailed design computations.
  • Assist with project design, review project design, and prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs.
  • Plan and organize project assignments, direct the work of engineers-in-training and technicians, and perform construction observation and project documentation.
  • Mentor and develop professional and technical staff, and maintain and enhance skills through continuing education to meet or exceed state licensure requirements.
  • Support business development activities, including RFPs, presentations, and community engagement activities, while developing relationships with regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum four (4) years professional experience required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required.
  • Knowledge of technical software such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD required.
  • Thorough knowledge of site-related design, codes, and construction practices in profession required.
  • Experience in land/site development required.
  • Experience in coordinating technical skills of others.
  • Able to apply civil engineering concepts to problem-solving involving site design issues.
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage conflicting priorities.
