Safepoint MGA, LLC is a recognized Property and Casualty Insurance provider based in Tampa, FL. Our Claims Department is expanding, and we are seeking motivated and experienced Field Adjusters for a stable career opportunity.


Position Summary

This role will operate from your home office within our service area. The Field Adjuster is tasked with conducting timely and efficient field assessments of insurance claims. Key responsibilities include visiting insured properties, documenting damages, estimating repair costs, and preparing detailed written reports utilizing Xactimate software.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate case reserves on all assigned claims to ensure adequate coverage of potential costs.
  • Draft comprehensive reports of investigations, coverage determinations, and damage assessments within the Claims Management System (CMS).
  • Negotiate and resolve claims within designated authority limits.
  • Investigate and identify subrogation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with legal representatives to uphold the company's claims position.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate case files.
  • Engage with policyholders, public adjusters, and attorneys through interviews and correspondence.
  • Oversee all aspects of property claims adjusting, including creating diagrams, scoping damages, and preparing estimates using Xactimate.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.


Essential Functions

  • Willingness to travel to various locations within the service area.
  • Ability to access and navigate building rooftops using ladders.
  • Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in tight spaces.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Conduct field investigations by visiting policyholders' residences to assess property damage.
  • Thoroughly inspect all property areas, identify damages, accurately document risks, and estimate identified damages.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in outside property adjusting, with a focus on personal and commercial lines in property and casualty.
  • Preferred: Candidates with experience in insurance carriers.
  • Required: All Lines Adjuster License for the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Associate's Degree is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Xactware products is mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including typing skills.
  • Technologically adept.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough investigations and negotiate successful outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to travel within the service area.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
