Position Overview

The Wealth Strategy Associate (WSA) is an integral part of the wealth strategy team, assisting senior strategists in providing exceptional service to family office and Cresset Catalyst clients. The WSA will also act as a vital internal resource for advisors. This role involves supporting families by offering expertise in fundamental estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, philanthropy, and fiduciary advisory services.

The WSA's primary responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and summarizing existing documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities for amendments or additional planning.
  • Conducting tax projections and modeling advanced planning techniques.
  • Providing ongoing guidance regarding the management of family structures.

Candidates should possess experience in advanced estate planning, including wealth coordination, family risk management, and trust administration. The WSA will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and must align with a culture that emphasizes exceptional client service. Developing insights into the needs and dynamics of the families served is essential.

The WSA will be part of a national advisory team that offers a range of services, including open architecture investment management, direct private investments, and comprehensive financial management tailored to the unique needs of families, considering their dynamics and history. Compensation includes a competitive cash salary along with equity participation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in trust and estate matters.
  • Juris Doctor degree with 1-3 years of practice or paralegal certification with over 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of wealth transfer planning, trust administration, and fiduciary responsibilities, particularly in the context of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients; tax expertise is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated initiative with strong analytical, technical, and critical-thinking abilities, emphasizing attention to detail and logical reasoning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in interpreting complex documents and creating clear, client-friendly materials.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply concepts in estate tax projections and financial analysis.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a team environment.
