Position Overview

The Wealth Strategy Associate (WSA) is an integral member of the wealth strategy team, assisting senior strategists in delivering exceptional service to family office and Cresset Catalyst clients. The WSA will also act as a valuable internal resource for advisors. This role involves supporting families as a subject matter expert in fundamental estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, philanthropy, and fiduciary advisory services.

The WSA's primary responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and summarizing existing documentation, offering insights for amendments or additional planning opportunities.
  • Conducting tax projections and modeling advanced planning techniques.
  • Providing ongoing guidance regarding the management of family structures.

Candidates should possess experience in advanced estate planning, including wealth coordination, family risk management, and trust administration. The WSA will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and must align with a culture that prioritizes impeccable client service. Developing insights into the needs and dynamics of the families we serve is essential.

The WSA will be part of a national advisory team that offers open architecture investment management, encompassing direct private investments, financial management, and other complex services tailored to family needs, including family dynamics and history. Compensation includes a competitive cash salary and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of trust and estate experience required.
  • JD with 1-3 years of practice or paralegal certification with 7+ years of experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with wealth transfer planning, trust administration, and fiduciary knowledge, particularly in the context of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients; tax knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated initiative with excellent analytical, technical, and critical-thinking skills, requiring attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills to interpret source documents and create concise, client-friendly materials.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply mathematical concepts in estate tax projections and financial analysis.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective relationship-building skills with peers and strategic partners.
  • Articulate, organized, and attentive to instructions and deadlines.
