Job Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development of innovative HVAC and VRF products at Hisense USA. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and structural design principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical and structural components for HVAC and VRF products, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Application Support: Collaborate with the application engineering team to ensure designs are suitable for various installation scenarios, providing technical support for the application and installation of HVAC and VRF systems.
  • Simulation and Analysis: Utilize advanced simulation and analysis tools to test and validate mechanical and structural designs, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical and structural design, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all mechanical and structural designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support to internal teams and clients, diagnosing and troubleshooting design-related issues, and conducting site inspections and performance evaluations to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and structural design for HVAC and VRF products.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical and structural design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS), strong understanding of HVAC and VRF principles, system components, and installation requirements, knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, AHRI, local building codes).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex design requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, strong team player with a proactive attitude.
