Responsibilities
- Leads and coordinates the activities of workers in one or more occupations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work-related issues.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures, in accordance with company policies.
- Trains new workers, maintains time and attendance records, and updates personnel files and performance records, ensuring compliance with company regulations.
- Confers with other Supervisors and/or Managers to coordinate activities across individual departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- May confer with workers' representatives to resolve grievances, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and fairly.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines from team members.
- Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, reporting regularly and on-time, and being self-motivated.
- Minimum age of 18; High school diploma or GED equivalent, college degree preferred; Valid state driver's license required;
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, possess the legal right to work in the United States, and read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. Please note that this figure is an estimate and may vary depending on factors such as experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and life insurance (subject to location), training and development programs, and amazing employee flight privileges within the American Airlines global network.
