Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in our sales team, responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. This includes coax delivered Internet, video, and voice services, as well as custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers and sell bundled services to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to achieve sales and revenue goals.
  • Generate all sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Place orders through order management software and ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
Working Conditions

Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate noise levels.
