Responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION : EHR Clinical Applications Specialists serve as the main support for designated clinical software systems. They must possess extensive knowledge of the institution's policies, operational procedures, and business practices, ensuring effective coordination of all issues that arise during the implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of their application domain.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Creates content and documentation tools for executing system modifications and other responsibilities, contributing to the development of training resources. Conducts comprehensive analysis of workflows, data gathering, reporting specifics, and other technical challenges related to the application. Initializes databases during the system setup and aids in software code updates.

Engages with colleagues, visitors, and other personnel in alignment with the values of Thomas Jefferson University.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES required in addition to Essential Functions:

Grasping the options involved in application configuration. Developing and documenting protocols for executing system modifications and other tasks. Acting as a liaison among end users, external parties, and vendors. Resolving issues and inquiries from end users. Evaluating application content and negotiating any requested user modifications. Preparing detailed specifications as necessary.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree
