Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator - Clinical Development Specialist to join our team at Universal Health Services. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development and implementation of clinical education strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of education tools and training programs based on identified needs of the hospital.
  • Assess content of clinical and non-clinical in-service programs and make revisions based on performance improvement data, accrediting agency standards, and Risk Management findings.
  • Develop and deliver clinical and non-clinical training programs resulting from needs assessments.
  • Maintain documentation of educational training records, resources, and current licenses.
  • Utilize time efficiently in performing duties.
  • Initiate work independently without request by supervisor.
  • Participate in New Employee Orientation, managing precepting schedules, and assist managers with 30,60,90-day staff meetings.
  • Assist the Director of Education in maintaining education calendar for Handle With Care, Verbal De-Escalation training, CPR certification.
  • Assist with psychiatric nurse residency training.
  • Assist Infection Preventionist to maintain Infection Prevention plan for hospital.
  • Train nursing staff in EHR documentation.
  • Assist with precepting new nurses when needed.
  • Demonstrate standards of professional behavior aligned with the mission, strategy, and values of Universal Health Services.
  • May work as floor RN or house supervisor duties as assigned.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity regardless of racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or sociological backgrounds.
Qualifications
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • MSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  • ANCC psych mental health certificate preferred.
  • CPR certification.
  • HWC Certification.
Experience
  • Three years of nursing experience in clinical setting required.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles, Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Microsoft office competency.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
