About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Main. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchens and service counters, ensuring that we deliver exceptional food experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards, meeting the requirements of our customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Team Management: Supervise and motivate our culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit catering operations, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets, and represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
  • Customer Service: Liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we continue to exceed expectations.
  • Training and Development: Support and train our teams, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of catering experience, with experience managing teams in a similar role.
  • Qualifications: Hold an NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Skills: Demonstrate brilliant financial acumen, excellent communication and organisational skills, and be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill.
