Plant Maintenance Manager

Ocean Spray is seeking a dedicated Plant Maintenance Manager. We are a cooperative of farmers, innovators, and achievers. Regardless of your position, our mission remains the same: we are a farmer-owned cooperative where every member contributes to our success.
As a Plant Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient upkeep of plant machinery and systems, maximizing production uptime. You will lead maintenance personnel by delegating tasks, tracking maintenance activities, and evaluating repair work. Furthermore, you will aid in the financial planning for maintenance and capital projects while advocating for plant food safety and quality assurance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and coordinate the daily operations of a skilled maintenance team to ensure both preventative and corrective maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and economically.
• Maintain high standards for product quality, equipment functionality, and operator performance, ensuring that cost-effective technologies are utilized to enhance production. Safeguard fixed assets and recommend new equipment purchases as necessary.
• Assist in formulating the maintenance budget, monitor expenditures, and report on operational costs within relevant areas. Notify management of any budgetary concerns and propose solutions to address them.
• Collaborate effectively with plant managers to foster a positive work environment. Provide guidance on labor-related matters, including safety, employee relations, scheduling, training, and grievances, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Partner with Human Resources to recruit, train, develop, and evaluate staff. Implement corrective actions promptly and in line with company guidelines.
• Work alongside Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and requirements.
• Encourage all personnel to report food safety concerns to the appropriate authorities for immediate resolution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively in a team or independently.
• Effective interaction with all organizational levels.
• Proficient facilitation and training capabilities.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's or University Degree
