Role Overview:

This key position will lead the assessment, underwriting, due diligence, and closing of development and acquisition investment opportunities as a vital component of the Vitrian deal team. The role also involves direct participation in deal structuring and capitalization, as well as the opportunity to work on platform development opportunities. Additionally, the position will be responsible for certain elements of asset management and investor reporting, including portfolio models, quarterly reporting, and market research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the underwriting and financial modeling of potential acquisition and development investments using advanced Excel models
  • Conduct due diligence for new investments, including the review of business plans, third-party reports, title/survey, historical financial statements, leases, vendor contracts, and closing activities
  • Assist in the credit assessment and financial analysis of potential life science clients
  • Directly participate in asset management of owned real estate investments
  • Build and maintain working relationships to acquire market insights from internal and external sources, such as lenders, brokers, investment bankers, healthcare private equity, and research professionals
  • Assist with investor relations at project and corporate levels
  • Create detailed Investment Committee memos and presentations detailing the investment opportunity, as well as summary materials on potential clients including financial projection commentary and high-level analysis of their business plan
  • Prepare portfolio and company-level models and presentation materials

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced professional with:

2-3 years of investment banking, commercial lending, or corporate finance experience preferably in a real estate / healthcare / life science related capacity2-3 years of direct real estate investment experience with direct exposure to due diligence and closing activities. Alternatively, 4+ years of development/project management experience if combined with financial modelingAdvanced Excel skillsArgus proficiency or willingness to attend trainingStrong work ethic and integrity, with a proactive and self-motivated attitudeStrong analytical, interpersonal communication, and writing skillsAbility to work effectively on multiple projects at various deal stages simultaneouslyDesire to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment in a growing platformRelationship-building skills and ability to collaborate with Managing Principals
