Note: Compensation is based on experience.

Company Overview:

FilmLA is a private, 501(c)4 not-for-profit organization dedicated to public service. We manage and process permits for on-location motion picture, television, and commercial production, serving a growing list of public-sector clients in the Los Angeles area. All permits are issued in accordance with the policies of each client jurisdiction.

Unlike typical film offices or commissions, which are often publicly funded, FilmLA was established when the City and County of Los Angeles opted to privatize their film permit operations, allowing for greater flexibility in service delivery to production companies and local communities.

While FilmLA primarily relies on permit coordination fees from production companies, maintaining strong community relations is a crucial aspect of our service. We strive to balance the interests of the entertainment industry with the needs of neighborhoods impacted by on-location production.

In the competitive global entertainment production landscape, our services are instrumental in preserving the Los Angeles region's status as the entertainment production capital of the world.
