Job Overview
We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Biological Monitors within the Central Valley region. Candidates must possess relevant Biological Monitoring experience in California.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor wildlife species prevalent in the Central Valley, including but not limited to small mammals, birds, and reptiles.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the environmental regulatory framework.
- Conduct field inspections of proposed project sites.
- Perform biological monitoring at construction locations to enforce mitigation measures.
- Execute field surveys and gather data for scientific and compliance documentation using established methodologies.
- Interpret maps and prepare daily progress reports as required by the project.
- Utilize GPS technology (Garmin/Trimble) for accurate field data collection.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods and work in challenging outdoor conditions.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications
- A Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Biology or a closely related discipline.
- Previous experience in construction monitoring within similar California ecosystems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to ethical practices, including the safeguarding of proprietary and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and familiarity with project tracking software and databases.
- Experience with endangered species such as the Tipton Kangaroo Rat, San Joaquin Antelope Squirrel, California Tiger Salamander, San Joaquin Kit Fox, and Giant Garter Snake.
