Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Manager

Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead our team of laboratory professionals. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of laboratory professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Promote a culture of growth, continuous learning, and development among team members.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of all laboratory testing. Implement and maintain best practices for laboratory operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission). Maintain documentation and quality control standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality. Encourage team participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for laboratory growth and development. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of laboratory services and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the laboratory budget, including personnel, equipment, and supplies. Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective laboratory operations.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and timely results. Foster strong relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred but not required - ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, including quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement innovative solutions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
  • Day shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flexible schedule).
