Role Overview

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of our department, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, supervising a team of two staff accountants to ensure their ongoing needs are met.
  • Financial Reporting: Conduct detailed reviews of monthly financial reports prepared by your team for accuracy and completeness.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary contact for clients, addressing requests that exceed the capabilities of the bookkeepers you supervise.
  • Financial Analysis: Utilize software to perform routine financial analyses for select clients, presenting your findings effectively.
  • Project Management: Ensure that ongoing services and special projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Accounting Clean-Up: Review existing accounting records to identify and implement necessary clean-up measures.
  • Client Onboarding: Lead kick-off meetings with new clients to establish expectations and explain the reporting cycle.
Essential Skills
  • Experience: A strong background in accounting services for small businesses, with public accounting experience being highly valued.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping best practices.
  • Organization: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple clients and projects.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish strong, personal relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Communication: Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks Online and comfortable with various software tools.
  • Adaptability: A quick learner who can navigate diverse client processes and requirements.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • A proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships.
