Position Overview:

The Weapons System Acquisition Program Manager is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and ongoing management of programs that align with corporate objectives. This role utilizes advanced theories and principles to contribute to the evolution of new concepts and solutions for complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of organizational programs that support strategic goals.
  • Lead teams in addressing intricate problems with innovative solutions.
  • Exercise significant autonomy in decision-making and action, while supervising and mentoring first-level supervisors or managers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a senior leader within PEO USC, PEO Ships, or SEA 21.
  • Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, weapons system acquisition, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in business development initiatives.
  • Possession of a Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a major program manager or deputy program manager in relevant organizations.
  • Expertise in business development, proposal development, and capture strategies.
  • Ability to cultivate and lead teams to secure new opportunities.
  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • A Master's degree in Business or a related discipline.
  • DAWIA Level III Certification in Program Management, Production, Quality, and Manufacturing, Engineering, or Test and Evaluation.

Security Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
