Position Overview

Adara Communities is in search of a dedicated Benefits Coordinator to deliver essential administrative support to our human resources and payroll divisions. This role involves overseeing employee benefits, including health, dental, life insurance, and disability programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3 years in Human Resources, with at least 2 years specifically in Benefits and Payroll management MANDATORY
  • Facilitate enrollment in all Benefits Programs (Health & Dental Insurance, Disability, and Life Insurance); provide new employees with comprehensive benefits explanations and guidance on enrollment processes
  • Maintain organized employee benefits documentation and ensure accurate updates in the payroll system for deductions
  • Monitor, review, and reconcile monthly and annual invoices related to employee benefits
  • Verify calculations of monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain relevant statistical data regarding premiums, claims, and costs. Address administrative issues with insurance carriers
  • Manage and report on workers' compensation claims
  • Assist payroll processing with bi-weekly payroll tasks
  • Ensure compliance of company Benefits policies with applicable laws and regulations
  • Guarantee consistent administration of HR policies and procedures
  • Possess a working knowledge of state and federal regulations impacting human resources
  • Administer FMLA and COBRA as necessary
  • Adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels while fostering respect, credibility, and integrity
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in problem analysis and resolution
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with benefits and payroll software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is advantageous, but not a requirement
