LEAD FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - HYBRID WORK ARRANGEMENT

As a Lead Financial Accountant, you will be integral to the financial management of the organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

Accounts Payable Management (50%):

  • Thoroughly assess invoices and payment requests, ensuring they meet accuracy and compliance standards.
  • Lead communication efforts with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records to uphold the highest standards of financial accountability.

Credit Card Administration (35%):

  • Oversee the processing of corporate credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with established policies.
  • Review and verify expenses and supporting documentation to maintain financial transparency.
  • Accurately execute journal entries, contributing to an efficient financial reporting system.

Financial Reporting and Reconciliation (10%):

  • Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable to ensure accuracy.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, facilitating comprehensive financial reporting.
  • Engage in audit preparations and compliance activities, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to financial integrity.

Additional Responsibilities (5%):

  • Provide support to senior management as required, contributing to various cross-departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, establishing a solid foundation for your career.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, showcasing your expertise in the field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision in all financial tasks.
  • Understanding of nonprofit financial operations, providing valuable context for your role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, promoting effective collaboration across teams.
  • Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Microsoft Office, with familiarity in accounting software being advantageous.
