Overview

Position Summary

The Nursing Management Associate plays a crucial role in supporting payroll functions for a diverse team of healthcare professionals, typically ranging from 150 to 350 individuals, under the guidance of Nurse Managers. This position encompasses a broad scope of responsibilities across various units and departments, and may extend to multiple campuses.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and labor management standards.
  • Ensures accurate time code allocation, while monitoring time and labor adjustments, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Oversees the appropriate utilization of both incremental and general overtime by team members, departments, or units.
  • Manages daily scheduling modifications for staff members.
  • Tracks monthly verification and documentation of healthcare team member licenses.
  • Maintains updates for ShiftSelect credentials.
  • Monitors teammate Paid Time Off (PTO) requests to confirm eligibility for approval.
  • Generates reports and conducts monthly reconciliations for MLOA/FMLA.
  • Participates in candidate interviews as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records and biweekly reconciliation reports for A&C.
  • Stays informed about healthcare trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors premium pay initiatives.
  • Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provides general support to assigned Nurse Managers.
  • Offers assistance across various functional areas as required.
  • Contributes to additional operational projects aimed at enhancing overall performance in targeted goal areas.

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to work in an office setting, involving prolonged periods of sitting while utilizing a computer and telephone, as well as preparing reports and statistical data. The position necessitates standing and walking throughout assigned units and may involve travel to other facilities using a personal vehicle. Occasionally, the role requires the ability to carry materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. The candidate must be capable of working efficiently and accurately under pressure, while managing various issues and priorities simultaneously. It is essential to maintain a safe and effective working environment.

Education, Experience, and Certifications
A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience with Kronos and ShiftSelect is also preferred.
