Job Title: Research/Clinical Veterinarian

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research/Clinical Veterinarian to join its Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering the highest standards of animal care, welfare, and collaborative research support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide broad clinical veterinary support across multiple facilities for multiple small and large animal species.
  • Contribute to animal model development and refinement.
  • Train and mentor postdoctoral fellows, veterinary technicians, research technicians, and research staff.
  • Ensure regulatory oversight of the program.
Requirements:
  • DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or equivalent training with ECFVG certification.
  • License to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal training in comparative medicine with diplomate status in the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) or European College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ECLAM).
  • At least two years' experience practicing or training in veterinary medicine in a research setting.
