Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Memory Care Coordinator to join our team at Navion Senior Solutions. As a Memory Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall management of our memory care program, ensuring the health and well-being of our residents in a safe and home-like environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident services and medication management as needed.
  • Supervise and schedule resident care staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Coordinate and monitor the completion of daily assignments to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Develop and implement programming that meets the specific needs and abilities of our memory care residents.
  • Ensure personalized memory boxes are in place for each resident.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Coordinator to provide supervision and support for activities and outings.
  • Update resident service plans to reflect the specific needs and abilities of each resident.
  • Manage and respond appropriately to resident behaviors.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding resident health status.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident documentation.
  • Schedule tests and medical appointments as needed.
  • Demonstrate competency in medication administration.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state regulations and community policies.
  • Assist with orientation and education of resident care staff.
  • Evaluate and discipline resident care staff as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of fire safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Conduct and coordinate departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Address resident and family complaints related to non-clinical issues.
Requirements
  • Experience or training in a similar setting preferred.
  • MedTech certification required.
  • General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors.
  • Aptitude and previous experience working with Alzheimer's and memory-impaired residents.
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
  • Ability to manage team processes and promote a team environment.
