Job Summary

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1 to 3 years of experience in loan processing, office management, or customer relations within the financial services, mortgage, or title insurance sectors, or experience considered equivalent at the discretion of Capital Farm Credit (CFC).


FUNCTIONS:

Deliver exceptional customer service consistently by welcoming clients, responding to inquiries, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. Investigate and resolve issues with minimal assistance.

Input essential loan information into loan origination systems, including financial data such as balance sheets and other required documentation. Obtain credit bureau reports and generate credit scores for both routine and complex loans.

Prepare and dispatch communication regarding initial credit decisions to applicants. Relay additional requirements and updates to applicants and members of the loan committee throughout the due diligence process.

Request and demonstrate comprehension of title commitments and relevant supporting documents from title companies for each loan file.

Collaborate and coordinate with internal departments for the review and approval of necessary documentation.

Examine files in the loan origination system to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy before loan committee approval and processing requests.

Solicit final approvals from the loan committee and submit the loan file to the Document Preparation Department.

Coordinate loan closings with title companies, borrowers, and internal departments. Assemble, review, and deliver closing packets to title companies or applicants for signature. Review executed documents to confirm accuracy, completeness, and proper execution.

Onboard new loans from the loan origination system into the loan accounting system. Disburse loan proceeds and ensure all closing instructions and conditions have been satisfied. Monitor borrower loan conditions and document the file accordingly. Assist the loan committee by requesting and filing necessary information to meet loan covenants and reporting requirements.

Ensure proper lien perfection through deeds of trust and/or UCC filings and maintenance. Establish and maintain electronic loan files and send original documents to the Collateral Custodian. Collaborate with internal departments to finalize and certify loans.

Process loan payments, disbursements, and related tasks necessary for servicing the loan portfolio.

Maintain knowledge of cooperative structure, patronage programs, and CFC product offerings. Identify cross-selling opportunities for other association products and refer to appropriate lending staff to address those needs.

Initiate and process credit servicing actions.

Ensure accuracy in servicing action documentation, execution, and timely revisions to accounting systems and electronic file documentation.

Maintain knowledge of required procedures, policies, processes, internal controls, and regulations, with the ability to research and apply them with some oversight.

Possess foundational knowledge of multiple systems and programs, demonstrating the ability to utilize CFC programs and systems used in lending and office administration.

Assist with general office administration and operate various standard office equipment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

General knowledge of:
Accounting and financial systems.

Computer systems and office equipment used for file management, classification practices, and retrieval of business information.

Documentation requirements for title insurance, deeds of trust, UCC financing statements, crop insurance, and flood insurance.

Specialized knowledge of:
Professional oral and written communication principles.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Organizational and time management practices.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Critical thinking skills.

At the discretion of CFC, this position may be offered under alternate titles, and other relevant business experience may be considered.
