Role Overview
As a Mortgage Loan Specialist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the financing needs of homebuyers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Generating and originating new loan packaging services.
- Providing sales staff with up-to-date information on mortgage rates, loan programs, and buyer qualifications.
- Conducting interviews with loan applicants to collect detailed information regarding their credit, employment, and financial backgrounds.
- Analyzing applicant financial status and credit data to determine eligibility for various loan programs and interest rates.
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of loan applications in accordance with company policies before submission to underwriting.
- Assisting with special projects and performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma along with relevant coursework and training in loan origination.
- A minimum of two years of related experience, demonstrating a thorough understanding of loan processing and underwriting fundamentals.
- A valid State of Texas Loan Officer License (for Texas employees).
- Preferred experience in BUILDER MORTGAGE.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
