Role Responsibilities


We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Corporate ESG and Sustainability Analyst to take on a mid-level managerial position.

The successful candidate will have a robust background in GHG accounting, ESG reporting, and an understanding of both local and international reporting standards.

This role will be pivotal in advising clients on climate-related challenges and opportunities, guiding them towards sustainable operations, and assisting them in meeting their ESG objectives.

This position will also contribute to Montezuma's own ESG reporting initiatives and climate commitments, supporting various sectors.


Key Duties Include:
  • Oversight of Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions calculations in collaboration with clients and external partners.
  • Development of data visualizations and analytics to assess changes in emissions, energy, water, and waste.
  • Contributing to the delivery of sustainability and environmental project outcomes for both public and private clients.
  • Supporting internal ESG reporting efforts and climate commitments.
  • Managing GHG accounting projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Providing technical guidance on ESG reporting standards such as CDP, GRI, ISSB/SASB, and TCFD.
  • Collaborating with various teams to integrate climate considerations into business strategies.
  • Staying informed on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability.
  • Creating and delivering training sessions on climate-related topics for staff and clients.
  • Developing tools and tracking mechanisms to facilitate sustainability program implementation.
  • Serving as a technical resource for clients on sustainability and climate initiatives.
  • Preparing annual reports and communication materials related to sustainability projects.
  • Evaluating existing client sustainability programs to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Resolving issues through understanding differing perspectives and proposing effective solutions.

Qualifications


Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in ESG and GHG accounting.

Strong knowledge of current sustainability and climate issues.

Technical expertise in GHG accounting methodologies and data analytics tools.

In-depth understanding of ESG reporting frameworks including CDP, GRI, ISSB/SASB, and TCFD.

Proven ability to maintain clear and transparent accounting practices across projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability technologies and best practices.


Optional:

Experience or interest in ESG rating methodologies is a plus.

Relevant sustainability certifications are desirable.
