Job Title: MDS Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our team at Living Legends Health. As an MDS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in facilitating the workflow of our resident care team.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify all ADT events and track admissions/discharges
  • Organize and circulate paperwork according to established procedures
  • Receive and forward hospital screens, Medicare determinations, and ICD9 coding
  • Gather information to fax to insurance providers as indicated
  • Process room rate changes, Medicare exhaust, and discharge letters
  • Bi-weekly update reports to insurance provider(s) as indicated
  • Request specific medical information on a resident as needed from other facilities
Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in Medical Records and computer applications desirable
  • Able to work under minimum supervision while cooperating with departmental heads and other staff members
  • Respect for residents' privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
  • Qualities of responsibility and diplomacy
