Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join the University of North Florida team as a Custodial Worker - Campus Maintenance. As a key member of our facilities department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, common-use areas, and carpet and tile floors in accordance with APPA cleaning standards.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, classrooms, offices, kitchens, conference rooms, banquet rooms, large assembly rooms, auditoriums, halls, common areas, stairways, elevators, building entrance areas, windows, doors, and display cases.
  • Perform additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Assist with special events, graduations, and other campus activities as needed.
  • Receive and deliver supplies, and assist other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of ninth (9th) grade required; HS Diploma preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
