Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative II plays a vital role in securing and providing accurate medical business information to patient families/guardians and funding sources. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to interpret, identify, communicate, and detail information in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registration, scheduling, and/or acquiring authorizations for patient services
- Interpreting and communicating medical information to patients and medical professionals
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Utilizing medical terminology and procedures to provide accurate information
- Providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or Equivalent
- Associate's Degree preferred
- 1 year of Healthcare Experience
- Experience with Epic or other EMR systems
- Experience with payment collection efforts
- Bilingual English/Spanish and/or other languages that meet business needs of the department
Compensation:
The expected hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $30.27. Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
