Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for seasoned Operational and Technical consultants to deliver surge support to USAID's Office of Transition Initiative (OTI) field programs. This includes various tasks such as program initiation, closure, temporary personnel coverage, technical guidance, and operational assessments.

  • Engage in field-based operational or programmatic roles on designated task orders, including start-up or close-out assistance, temporary coverage, surge requirements, or specific program support.
  • Provide essential support to OTI task orders during peak demand periods.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and client regulations while effectively collaborating with support departments like contracts, finance, and human resources to manage risks.
  • Guide and mentor colleagues to enhance their professional growth and ability to meet programmatic, technical, or corporate demands.
  • Offer expert advice and consultation to project management units, field offices, and new business teams.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, particularly in complex, high-pressure field operations within developing nations. At least three (3) years should involve managing these operations, preferably with a contractor or international NGO.
  • Proven expertise in providing field-based technical support for OTI and/or similar stabilization initiatives.
  • Experience with USAID field start-up or close-out processes.
  • Familiarity with USAID policies and procedures related to human resources, financial management, reporting, procurement, and grants management.
  • Experience with grants or small grants under contract (GUC) programs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and perform well under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Arabic is highly desirable.
