Onix Hospitality is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at the Hyatt Place Wilmington Riverfront. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, providing support to the General Manager, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations, including assigning duties to Department Heads and observing performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to staff and Department Heads, and act as the hotel's public relations director, promoting the property within the hotel industry, local community, and trade associations.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints and service recovery processes, and maintain accurate records, including cash flows, guest floor limits, and AR aging reports.
  • Review employee performance, conduct personnel actions, and ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, and service standards.
  • Build owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations, and delivering solid business results.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of hotel experience, with a college degree or diploma in hotel management or a related field.
  • Strong management skills, ability to delegate work effectively, and accomplish goals.
  • Excellent computer system skills, with experience in financial accounting, personnel supervision, and problem resolution.
