Key Requirements from Hiring Manager:

Role Overview:

The Embedded Risk Specialist role serves as a first line of defense (FLOD) involving various business and functional units, including Product Management, Operations Management, and IT.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the client's Control Groups and Business FLODs to identify and evaluate inherent risks, control effectiveness, and residual risks. The role also focuses on enhancing control effectiveness while simplifying processes without increasing residual risk.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage risk while liaising with multiple entities for audits and supporting control-testing efforts.
- Provide guidance to SIFMU and RISK Delivery in addressing self-identified findings and complying with audit findings.

About the Role:

This technical ERM position is responsible for offering specialized support for the ERM and application development teams in SIFMU and Risk for various company-wide initiatives.

Key functions include:
- Management to achieve business objectives.
- Coordination of responses to control functions and Product Management.
- Governance and process support to ensure adherence to internal development processes.
- Collaboration with other Embedded Risk Managers to identify best practices and ensure compliance with standard processes.
- Documentation coordination for internal and external audits, compliance, and risk assessments using the Process Risks and Controls (PRC) Framework.
- Partnership with control functions to support audits and assessments, managing the Issue Management process for the domain.
- Conduct Management Testing to evaluate control effectiveness and document outcomes.
- Review standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Conduct sustainability assessments and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements while identifying solutions for control gaps.
- Manage process adherence within the division and lead departmental budget reporting initiatives.

Technical Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Infrastructure Project Management.

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud hosting, virtual environments, and data management. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating technical discussions with stakeholders to assess and capture program risks.
- Applying sound judgment in evaluating IT risks and mitigation strategies.
- Independently analyzing potential downstream impacts of decisions.
- Effectively challenging risk identification and acceptance to ensure thorough documentation.
- Performing gap assessments of proposed risk mitigation strategies and guiding customers towards holistic solutions.
- Translating technical jargon into accessible concepts for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Capability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Experience in governance, risk, and compliance projects.
- Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies, with Scrum Master experience preferred.
- Proven ability to manage risks in complex situations.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across global teams.
- Highly motivated to contribute and grow in a complex environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
