About the Role

Baldwin Risk Partners is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Risk Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for selling new accounts and renewing existing ones, while building and maintaining relationships with clients, prospects, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Account Management: Present proposals in a professional manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and service team in an articulate and effective manner.
  • Policy Sales and Administration: Finalize the sale and collect necessary documents, applications, etc., and brief the service team on the policy sale.
  • Prospect Development: Develop prospects by becoming involved in community affiliations, attending insurance company partner hosted seminars, building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts, engaging in networking events, and through referrals from current accounts.
  • Account Development: Develop information and recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals, and adhere to firm policies and procedures for writing a new account.
  • Accuracy and Timeliness: Maintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the Firm, and Insurance Company Partners, to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry and underwriting criteria for insurance company partners represented by the firm to effectively communicate to all involved.
  • Community Representation: Positively represent the firm in the community and with our insurance company partners.
  • Leadership Support: Perform other functions as assigned by leadership.
  • Process Improvement: Look for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes. Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
  • Performance Metrics: Is expected to meet monthly new business goals.
Requirements
  • Certification(s): None required; None preferred
