Job Summary

The University of Central Florida is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theater Arts Production Manager to join our team in the College of Arts and Humanities. As a key member of our Performing Arts department, you will be responsible for overseeing the productions and operations of the UCF Theatre, ensuring seamless execution of events and maintaining a high level of quality in all aspects of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Management: Plan and implement production needs throughout the year, supervising shop staff and managing all production-related processes.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise theatre production staff in regard to workload, progress on productions, deadlines, and leave requests.
  • Facilities Management: Serve as the facilities manager for Theatre production building, scheduling, in-house maintenance plans, and liaison to facilities department.
  • Property Custodian: Maintain prop and furniture storage, online inventory, and hold, maintain, and account for Expense cards for departmental productions.
  • Committee Participation: Serve on School of Performing Arts committees as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • Experience: Possesses 8 years of experience in theatre management, production management, and supervision, with experience in educational theatre at the college level.
  • Skills: Strong ties to Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, major in Theatrical Design or Management, and ability to maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of production.
