Automotive Testing Specialist - Vibration Division

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and configure test samples and equipment.
- Conduct tests following established protocols and approved plans.
- Assist in the development of test plans and methodologies; independently create test plans for specialized tests within your area of expertise.
- Collect and document test data in compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze and compute test data results.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in test data.
- Draft and review test reports.
- Maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment as necessary.
- Advise on the interpretation and relevance of testing standards.
- Communicate with clients regarding project updates and inquiries.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
- Assist in providing cost estimates for client quotations.
- Establish and refine procedures within the functional area.
- Adapt testing procedures and equipment to meet departmental requirements.
- Organize project documentation to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Experience in Automotive Testing, particularly in Vibration Testing, is preferred.
- Proficient in using basic shop equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate technical information effectively.
- Capability to follow straightforward instructions with common-sense understanding.
- Aptitude for handling standardized situations with minimal variability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
