Position Overview

RETTEW, a prominent engineering consulting firm, is on the lookout for a motivated and client-oriented Civil Engineer to become a vital part of our Municipal Team as a Drinking Water/Wastewater Project Manager.

In this role, you will collaborate with our Authority and Municipal clients to innovate, design, and oversee a diverse range of projects. These projects will encompass both public and private sector wastewater collection and treatment systems, as well as drinking water distribution and treatment systems. You will also engage in membrane treatment for municipal and industrial water and wastewater, alongside biosolids and renewable energy initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with our team to innovate, design, and oversee various projects related to drinking water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Plan and manage extensive multidisciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Lead project teams through all phases of design, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Present project details effectively to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in marketing events and networking functions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for our Authority and Municipal clients.
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to guarantee successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and design drawings.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Process Engineering, Biological Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and management of drinking water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including budget, schedule, and resource management.
  • Solid technical expertise and a proven track record in leading and delivering projects.
  • Experience in representing municipal and/or authority clients.
  • Enjoyment in managing and mentoring staff and subconsultants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
