Position Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, the Senior Water Quality & Environmental Compliance Coordinator will oversee critical functions related to environmental stewardship and water quality management, particularly focusing on the Lead Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all water quality and environmental regulations.
  • Facilitate the collection of water quality samples in educational and childcare facilities statewide.
  • Communicate essential findings regarding Lead and Copper Rule Revisions to stakeholders.
  • Investigate and address water quality concerns effectively.
Core Accountabilities
  • Manage and report on monitoring programs to guarantee compliance with federal and state standards.
  • Conduct advanced sampling and analysis as well as special projects.
  • Prepare, maintain, and file all necessary regulatory documentation.
  • Engage in audits and represent the organization in interactions with regulators and clients.
  • Identify potential compliance issues and initiate corrective actions.
  • Lead advanced projects and generate detailed reports as required.
  • Respond to escalated water quality inquiries and concerns.
  • Plan and oversee sampling requirements for educational and childcare institutions.
Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations and current legislation is essential. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills are required.

Experience and Education: A Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of five years of experience in water, wastewater, and laboratory operations.

Certifications: A valid driver’s license is required, with the ability to pass a motor vehicle report.

Work Environment:

This role may involve laboratory, indoor/outdoor, and office settings, with occasional local and regional travel required.
