**Job Summary**

The Route Sales Representative is a key member of the Peet's team, responsible for delivering fresh products to grocery customers within a specific route in a specific market. This role requires building and maintaining relationships with store management to increase Peet's visibility within accounts.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Forecasting and Ordering**: Accurately forecast and order a weekly inventory of products to meet customer demands.
  • **Merchandising**: Ensure store displays are properly merchandised, with accurate inventory, pricing, and date code rotation.
  • **Customer Service**: Comply with customers' scheduled receiving hours and policies, providing excellent customer service.
  • **Route Management**: Manage a specific route, including early morning working hours and extensive driving time.
  • **In-Store Displays**: Build and maintain in-store displays to promote Peet's products.
  • **Inventory Management**: Manage point-of-sale inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • **Business Development**: Solicit new accounts that fit Peet's approved profile, and sell special programs to store owners and managers.
  • **Equipment Maintenance**: Maintain all company-supplied equipment, including Peet's van, warehouse, and POS.
  • **Reporting**: Complete all required reports and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

**Requirements**

  • **Experience**: Prior DSD/truck-to-store sales experience.
  • **Communication**: Good verbal communication skills.
  • **Safety**: Clean DMV record and insurability.
  • **Independence**: Ability to work independently in various settings.
