Day in the Life of a Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Granger Construction, you'll be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating clear, effective communication with owners, architects, partners, and teammates.
  • Ensuring timely action, documentation, and tasks related to RFIs, submittals, cost changes, schedule changes, meetings, and more.
  • Understanding client and project requirements, developing and distributing construction schedules, and coordinating with accounting, design, and estimating teams.
  • Managing costs and expediting, writing subcontracts and purchase orders, and monitoring cost changes and expediting schedules.
  • Closing out and commissioning projects, attaining a zero-punch list goal, and keeping accurate records.
  • Serving as a brand ambassador, illustrating Granger's values in every conversation and interaction: trust, honesty, fairness, integrity, compassion, and appreciation for team contributions.

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Leadership: Lead by example, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: The ability to see the big picture while focusing on details.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software, such as ProCore, ViewPoint, and Microsoft Project.
