Job Title: Automotive Sales Consultant

Liberty Ford is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling automobiles by understanding and demonstrating vehicle characteristics, capabilities, and features, developing and qualifying buyers, and closing sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and demonstrate vehicle characteristics, capabilities, and features to customers
  • Develop and qualify buyers, and close sales
  • Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
  • Offer test drives to all prospects and follow dealership procedures to obtain proper identification
  • Demonstrate automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, features, and explaining warranties and services
  • Satisfy the transportation needs of the buyer by understanding buyers' requirements and interests and by developing rapport with the customers
  • Know and understand equity and values and can explain depreciation to the customer
  • Complete quotes and explain financing options following established dealership policies
  • Closes sales by overcoming objections
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery before customer arrival
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features
  • Introduce customers to the service department and schedule first service appointment
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items to make sure that all customer expectations are met
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner, extending every polite custom and courtesy to all customers
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages
  • Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software, and internet proficiency
  • Excellent appearance, verbal/written communication, strong negotiation, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license that meets dealership insurability requirements
Work Environment:

Must be able to walk the sales lot and showroom to review inventory and greet customers for at least 8 hours in a shift. Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds on occasion. Must be able to push, pull, and reach with hands and arms. Must have close and distance vision. Must be able to drive company vehicles. Must be able to type.
