Executive Assistant to the President

The Council for Opportunity in Education is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to serve as the Executive Assistant to the President. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the President and contribute to the Council's mission of advancing educational opportunities for low-income, first-generation college students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the President, including calendar management and coordination of internal and external meetings.
  • Assist with various projects across the Council, including planning and coordinating events, researching higher education matters, and ensuring office supplies are inventoried and replenished.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the Council's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employers, students, alumni, and university personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Awareness and sensitivity to matters pertaining to low-income students, first-generation students, students with disabilities, and other groups underrepresented in higher education.
  • Knowledge of the Federal TRIO Programs.
