International Trade Attorney

Job Summary
As an International Trade Attorney in the Executive Office of the President, you will play a critical role in shaping the United States' trade and environmental policies. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing trade agreements, negotiating with foreign governments, and monitoring compliance with international trade laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal analysis and advice on trade and environment issues, particularly with respect to the USMCA environment chapter.
- Develop and coordinate USTR's legal position on potential disputes with USMCA parties related to environment issues.
- Conduct research on laws, legal opinions, policies, or regulations on specific trade and environment areas or broad trade and environment issues.
- Represent the United States in arbitral panels in international fora, particularly panels formed under the USMCA.
Requirements
- Must be able to travel internationally.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret (TS) security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
